Adana 01 FK delivered one of their most convincing performances of the Turkish Second League season, thrashing Karacabey Belediyespor 4-0 at home on 18 October 2026.

Match overview

Adana 01 FK set the tone inside the opening 10 minutes, pressing Karacabey high and forcing a series of early errors. The breakthrough came when Emre Gemici collected a pass on the edge of the box, shifted the ball onto his right foot and curled a finish into the top corner. The hosts doubled their advantage before half-time when Berkay Aydın converted from close range after a goalmouth scramble.

Karacabey tried to respond after the restart, but Adana 01's midfield kept the game at a comfortable tempo. Emre Gemici added his second of the night with a composed finish on the counter, and Yusuf Türk completed the scoring late on with a header from a corner.

Key moments

• 9' — Adana 01 take the lead: Emre Gemici curls a fine effort into the top corner from the edge of the area.
• 38' — Doubling the advantage: Berkay Aydın reacts quickest to a loose ball and stabs home from six yards.
• 61' — Gemici strikes again: A rapid counter-attack ends with the striker slotting calmly past the goalkeeper.
• 79' — Fourth goal: Yusuf Türk powers a header into the net from a well-delivered corner.

Tactical story

Adana 01's high press was the foundation of the win. They consistently forced Karacabey into hurried clearances and won possession in dangerous areas. The hosts also dominated set pieces, with their third and fourth goals stemming from second-ball situations. Karacabey, meanwhile, struggled to cope with the pace of Adana's transitions and rarely threatened the home goal.

Standout performers

Emre Gemici was the clear standout, with two goals and an assist to his name. Berkay Aydın's energy in midfield set the tone, and the Adana 01 defence kept a well-earned clean sheet. For Karacabey, the goalkeeper made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat, but the visitors offered little going forward.

Season impact

The emphatic win boosts Adana 01 FK's goal difference and strengthens their position in the promotion conversation. Karacabey Belediyespor, on the other hand, remain in trouble near the bottom of the table and will need a rapid response to avoid a difficult campaign.
