Bursaspor delivered one of the most entertaining results of the Turkish First League round, winning 4-2 away at Ankara Keçiörengücü on 26 October 2026 after a frantic contest that swung back and forth before the visitors took command.

Match overview

Ankara Keçiörengücü made the brighter start and took the lead inside the opening ten minutes, capitalising on a loose ball in the box. Bursaspor responded well, equalising in the 19th minute through a composed finish, but the hosts restored their advantage before half-time with a header from a set piece.

The game changed in first-half stoppage time when Bursaspor equalised again, and from that moment the visitors looked the more dangerous side. They scored twice in the second half, first taking the lead in the 58th minute and then adding a fourth in the 83rd to complete a convincing attacking display.

Tactical story

Bursaspor’s 4-2-3-1 was built for transitions, and the game suited them perfectly. Keçiörengücü pushed bodies forward in search of a second goal, but that left space behind their full-backs. Bursaspor exploited it repeatedly in the second half, with their No. 10 dropping into pockets and releasing runners into the channels.

The hosts’ defensive shape became increasingly stretched after the hour mark. Their midfield could not screen the back four consistently, and Bursaspor’s forwards were able to attack the box from different angles. Keçiörengücü kept fighting, but the game had already slipped away.

Standout performers

Bursaspor’s centre-forward was central to the win, scoring twice and occupying both centre-backs. The attacking midfielder also impressed with two assists, while the goalkeeper made a crucial save at 2-2 to prevent the hosts from retaking the lead.

Season impact

The victory is a statement result for Bursaspor in the Turkish First League promotion race. It shows they can score in different ways and recover from setbacks. For Ankara Keçiörengücü, the defeat highlights defensive problems that need fixing quickly, especially when they commit numbers forward.
