tigerscores365 Wits University, officially known as Bidvest Wits or simply Wits, was a historic South African football club based in Johannesburg and linked to the University of the Witwatersrand. The "Clever Boys" competed in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) and were known for their intellectual branding and competitive teams. Their home matches were played at the Bidvest Stadium. Founded in 1921, the club had a long and proud history, winning several domestic cups and famously claiming the PSL title in the 2016/17 season under coach Gavin Hunt. The modern era saw them as a consistent top-half team with a strong development academy. Tragically for their fans, the club was sold and relocated at the end of the 2019/20 season, bringing an end to a beloved Johannesburg institution.
