Club History

USD Usinese was founded in 1968, bringing organized football to the small agricultural town of Usini. The club's colors are red and blue, reflecting the town's coat of arms. For much of its history, Usinese has competed in the lower tiers of Sardinian football, including Promozione and Prima Categoria, with occasional spells in Eccellenza, the top regional league.

The club's golden era came in the late 1990s, when it won the Promozione Sardinia title in 1998 and earned promotion to Eccellenza. Under the guidance of coach Giovanni Pinna, Usinese established itself as a tough opponent, finishing as runners-up in the Eccellenza play-offs in 2001. Although the club was relegated in 2005, the memories of that successful period remain cherished by supporters.

Usinese plays its home matches at the Stadio Comunale di Usini, a charming ground with a capacity of 1,000 spectators. The stadium is located in the heart of the town, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, providing a unique and picturesque backdrop for football. The main stand is covered, and the pitch is known for its excellent playing surface.

The club's ultras, known as "I Leoni Rossoblu" (The Red and Blue Lions), create a vibrant atmosphere with drums and flags. After the match, fans and players often mingle at the clubhouse, sharing food and stories.

The two teams have faced each other numerous times over the decades, and the "Derby del Coros" (Derby of the Coros region) is always a highlight of the season.
