Talentos Los Almendros U19 is the youth academy side of the Chilean club Talentos Los Almendros, based in the municipality of Los Almendros, Santiago Metropolitan Region. This U19 team serves as the primary feeder for the senior squad and participates in the national youth league system.

Academy Philosophy and Development

Founded in 2008, the academy focuses on technical skill, tactical awareness, and personal growth. Many of its graduates have moved on to professional clubs in Chile’s Primera División, including a notable transfer to Colo‑Colo in 2021. The U19 team plays an attractive, possession‑oriented style, emphasizing quick passing and movement off the ball.

Recent Performance and League Standing

In the 2023 season, Talentos Los Almendros U19 finished 4th in Group A of the Liga Juvenil, narrowly missing the championship playoff. Their top scorer, winger Cristóbal Muñoz, netted 12 goals and earned a call‑up to the Chile U20 national team. The team’s defensive record was also strong, conceding just 1.1 goals per game on average.

Facilities and Coaching Staff

The academy trains at the Complejo Deportivo Los Almendros, which features multiple pitches, a gym, and medical facilities. The head coach, former Chilean international midfielder Pablo Galdames, joined the setup in 2022 and has been credited with improving the team’s discipline and tactical flexibility.

Notable Alumni and Future Prospects

Several former U19 players are now key members of the senior team, including goalkeeper Diego Flores and defender Matías Soto. Scouts from European clubs have occasionally visited matches, highlighting the academy’s growing reputation. The club plans to expand its scouting network and enhance its youth recruitment across the region.
