The name “Artesanos” translates to “Artisans,” a nod to the craftsmanship and working traditions of Huixquilucan and its surrounding communities. The club’s colors are blue and white, and its badge incorporates a stylized artisan’s tool alongside a football, symbolizing the connection between local culture and the beautiful game. Competition and Format

In the Liga TDP, Artesanos Huixquilucan compete in a group stage against clubs from across the State of Mexico and neighboring regions. The season typically runs from August to May, with teams battling for points in a long regular campaign. For Artesanos, every match is an opportunity to climb the standings, improve their results, and move closer to a higher tier of Mexican football.

The club’s fixtures often attract scouts from larger academies, and the Liga TDP serves as a proving ground for young players hoping to catch the eye of professional clubs. Artesanos have embraced that role, giving minutes to teenagers and local prospects while also relying on a few experienced leaders to guide the squad.

Playing Style and Key Figures

Artesanos Huixquilucan typically line up in a 4-3-3 formation, emphasizing quick passing, high pressing, and attacking width. The coaching staff has instilled a possession-based philosophy that encourages defenders to play out from the back and midfielders to rotate freely. The team’s top scorers are often wingers or attacking midfielders who thrive in the final third, while the defensive line is expected to hold a high line and win the ball back quickly.

The club’s captain is a central midfielder known for his leadership and ability to control the tempo of a match. Several academy graduates have gone on to trial with larger Mexican clubs, and the Artesanos coaching team takes pride in preparing players for the next level. Fans who follow the team’s top scorers and career stats will find a squad that values collective success over individual glory.

Artesanos Huixquilucan have developed competitive head-to-head rivalries with other clubs from the State of Mexico, including teams from Naucalpan, Toluca, and Atizapán.
