Tactical Story

Rubin Yalta set up in a 4-4-2 diamond, with Petrov and Morozov forming a potent strike partnership. The midfield diamond, anchored by Volkov, controlled the game and constantly fed the forwards. Chayka-M played a 4-3-3 but were overwhelmed in midfield and struggled to keep possession. Rubin's aggressive pressing forced numerous turnovers in dangerous areas, leading to several chances. The full-backs, particularly Smirnov on the left, pushed high and provided width, causing Chayka-M's defense constant problems. After the third goal, Rubin took their foot off the gas, but still managed to add a fourth.

Standout Performers

Andrei Petrov (Rubin Yalta): Scored two goals and was a constant menace with his movement and finishing.

Rubin will look to continue their title charge next week against second-placed FC Sevastopol, while Chayka-M face a tough home game against SKA Rostov.
