FK Kaluga produced a ruthless away performance to beat Dynamo Bryansk 4-1 in the Russian D3A, turning a tight early contest into a comfortable victory. The visitors scored twice in each half and punished Dynamo Bryansk’s defensive errors with clinical finishing.

Dynamo Bryansk started with intent and tried to impose themselves on the game, but Kaluga’s pressing and quick transitions proved too much. The away side’s dominance grew as the match wore on, and the final scoreline reflected their superiority.

Kaluga strike early

FK Kaluga opened the scoring in the 9th minute when Nikita Chistyakov intercepted a loose pass and finished low into the corner. Dynamo Bryansk responded with a spell of pressure, but Kaluga doubled their lead in the 34th minute through Dmitry Zakharov, who headed home from a well-delivered corner.

The home side pulled one back in the 64th minute when Artem Serov converted from close range, briefly raising hopes of a comeback. However, Kaluga restored their two-goal cushion seven minutes later through Ilya Polyakov, and Chistyakov added his second of the match in the 52nd minute to complete the scoring.

Tactical story

FK Kaluga pressed aggressively and forced Dynamo Bryansk into mistakes in their own half. Their midfield won most of the second balls, allowing them to sustain attacks and keep the home side under constant pressure. Kaluga’s wide players also stretched the defence, creating space for late runs into the box.

Dynamo Bryansk improved after half-time and scored a well-worked goal, but their defensive organisation remained vulnerable. Kaluga’s ability to respond immediately after conceding underlined their control of the match and their clinical edge in front of goal.

Standout performers

Nikita Chistyakov was the standout player with two goals and constant movement in the final third. Dmitry Zakharov’s aerial threat and Ilya Polyakov’s composure in possession gave Kaluga excellent balance. For Dynamo Bryansk, Artem Serov was a bright spark, but the team’s defensive errors proved costly.

What the result means

The victory is a significant statement for FK Kaluga in the Russian D3A and boosts their confidence ahead of a demanding run of fixtures. Dynamo Bryansk must regroup quickly after a heavy home defeat. Their response in the next match will be important as they look to stabilise their campaign.
