NK Jadran Luka Ploče edged Kustosija 1-0 in a tightly contested Croatian First Football League match on September 26, 2026. A single goal was enough to separate the sides, and the home team's defensive discipline ensured the three points stayed on the Adriatic coast.

The result was a testament to NK Jadran Luka Ploče's organisation and patience. Kustosija competed well for long periods, but they could not find an equaliser, leaving the hosts to celebrate a valuable victory in front of their supporters.

Match Overview

The game began with both teams feeling each other out, but NK Jadran Luka Ploče gradually took control. Their midfield pressed effectively, forcing Kustosija into sideways passes and limiting their ability to break through the lines. The decisive goal arrived from a well-worked move, giving the home side a lead they would never surrender.

After taking the lead, NK Jadran Luka Ploče dropped slightly deeper and invited Kustosija to break them down. The visitors responded with more possession, but clear chances remained rare. The home defence held firm, blocking shots and clearing crosses with determination.

Key Moments

The only goal of the match came at a crucial time. NK Jadran Luka Ploče found space on the edge of the penalty area and produced a precise finish, sparking celebrations around the ground. It was the kind of goal that rewarded their early pressure and smart movement off the ball.

Kustosija's best opportunity came late in the second half, but a combination of brave defending and sharp goalkeeping kept them out. A series of corners also caused brief panic, yet NK Jadran Luka Ploče survived each one and managed the final minutes professionally.

Tactical Story

NK Jadran Luka Ploče lined up with a compact shape and looked to win the ball back quickly in midfield. Their full-backs supported attacks selectively, which helped them avoid being caught out on the counter. The approach was not overly adventurous, but it was effective against a Kustosija side that struggled to create high-quality chances.

Kustosija tried to stretch the play and use width, but their crosses were often dealt with comfortably. When they did find pockets of space between the lines, they lacked the final pass. It was a frustrating evening for the visitors, who will feel they deserved at least a point for their effort.

Standout Performers

• NK Jadran Luka Ploče goalkeeper: Made key saves and commanded his area well.
• NK Jadran Luka Ploče midfield: Pressed intelligently and protected the back four.
• Kustosija attack: Showed energy but lacked composure in the final third.
