Stromsgodset B produced a dominant attacking display to beat Skjetten Football 5-1 in the Norwegian 3. Divisjon on October 11, 2026. The reserve side of Stromsgodset were ruthless in front of goal, scoring five times and putting the game beyond doubt well before the final whistle.

Match Overview

From the opening minutes, Stromsgodset B looked sharper and more purposeful. They pressed Skjetten high up the pitch, forced turnovers in dangerous areas, and created a string of early chances. The first goal arrived quickly, and once the hosts had the lead, they never looked like surrendering it. Skjetten struggled to cope with the speed of Stromsgodset’s attacking transitions, and the scoreline grew steadily more one-sided.

By half-time, the match was already heavily in Stromsgodset’s favour. Skjetten did manage to pull a goal back, which briefly threatened to make things interesting, but the home side responded immediately and restored their comfortable advantage. The second half was largely about game management for Stromsgodset B, who continued to create chances without ever needing to overcommit.

Key Moments

• Fast start: Stromsgodset B opened the scoring early after a high press forced a mistake in the Skjetten defence.
• Double lead: A well-timed run and composed finish made it 2-0 inside the first half-hour.
• Skjetten response: The visitors pulled one back with a good finish from the edge of the box, giving them brief hope.
• Immediate reply: Stromsgodset B scored again almost straight from the restart, killing any momentum Skjetten had built.
• Second-half control: Two more goals after the break completed a 5-1 rout, with the home side dominating possession and territory.

Tactical Story

Stromsgodset B lined up with an aggressive 4-3-3 and used their wingers to stretch Skjetten’s back line. The full-backs overlapped constantly, creating two-on-one situations out wide. In midfield, Stromsgodset won the majority of second balls, which allowed them to sustain attacks and pin Skjetten deep in their own half. Their pressing was coordinated and energetic, forcing Skjetten into long clearances that were easily recovered.

Skjetten Football tried to play out from the back, but the pressure proved too intense. When they did manage to bypass the first line of pressure, they found space in midfield and scored a well-taken goal. However, their defensive shape was often ragged, with gaps appearing between the centre-backs and full-backs. Stromsgodset B exploited those gaps repeatedly, especially in transition. After the fourth goal, the visitors looked resigned, and the home side cruised through the final stages.

Standout Performers

Stromsgodset B’s centre-forward was the focal point of the attack, linking play and scoring twice. The two wingers were constant threats, both contributing goals and assists. In midfield, the deep-lying playmaker controlled the tempo and repeatedly switched the point of attack. Defensively, the centre-backs dealt well with Skjetten’s occasional counter-attacks, and the goalkeeper made one smart save when the score was still 2-1.

For Skjetten Football, the striker who scored was their brightest performer, showing good movement and a clinical finish. The goalkeeper, despite conceding five, made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat. The team’s midfield struggled to track runners, which was the core issue throughout the match.
