Tactical story

Akademija Pandev Brera Strumica lined up in a 4-2-3-1 and pressed Korzo Prilep relentlessly from the first whistle. Their midfield won the ball back quickly and fed the front four with a steady stream of chances. The movement of Stojkovski and Atanasov was too much for the visiting defence, which struggled to track runners and failed to close down shots around the penalty area.

Korzo Prilep tried to defend with a deep 5-4-1 block, but they were overwhelmed. Once the first goal went in, their shape became increasingly ragged, and the gaps between defence and midfield widened. Akademija Pandev’s wide players exploited those spaces, while the full-backs overlapped at will. The scoreline could have been even larger, with several late chances going begging.

Standout players

Marko Stojkovski was the undisputed star of the show, scoring three goals inside the first 41 minutes and constantly troubling the Korzo back line with his movement. David Atanasov also impressed with a second-half brace, while Nikola Trajkovski dictated play from midfield. For Korzo Prilep, it was a night to forget, though their goalkeeper made a handful of saves to prevent double figures.

North Macedonia Second Football League table impact

The emphatic win boosts Akademija Pandev Brera Strumica’s goal difference significantly and sends a clear message to their promotion rivals. In the North Macedonia Second Football League, where goal difference can decide promotion and playoff places, a 7-0 victory is a major statement. Korzo Prilep will need to recover quickly, both mentally and defensively, to avoid their season slipping away after such a heavy defeat.
