Vítkovice and SK Lisen B shared the points in a hard-fought 0-0 draw in the Czech Third League on Sunday, 20 September 2026. The match, played under the lights, was a study in defensive organisation, with both goalkeepers and back lines holding firm through a tense ninety minutes.

The goalless result leaves both clubs with a clean sheet but only a single point from a fixture that had been circled as a chance to climb the early-season standings. Vítkovice will feel they had the better of the first half, while Lisen B grew into the contest after the break and nearly snatched a winner on the counter.

Match overview

Vítkovice started with purpose, pressing high and forcing Lisen B into a series of hurried clearances. The home side's midfield trio rotated well, creating overloads on the right flank, but the final ball repeatedly ran too close to the visiting goalkeeper. Lisen B, the reserve team of the first-division club, showed the composure expected of a development side, keeping their shape and looking to spring quick breaks through their front two.

As the game wore on, the contest became a midfield battle. Vítkovice's captain dropped deeper to dictate tempo, while Lisen B's holding midfielder screened the back four effectively. The second half opened up briefly, but neither side could find the quality in the final third to break the deadlock.

Key moments

The best chance of the first half fell to Vítkovice in the 14th minute, when a low cross from the left was met by a first-time shot that the Lisen B goalkeeper turned around the post. From the resulting corner, a header flashed narrowly over the bar.

Lisen B responded with a dangerous counterattack in the 38th minute. Their striker raced onto a through ball, rounded the advancing goalkeeper, but a recovering defender made a goal-saving block at the edge of the six-yard box. In the second half, Vítkovice's goalkeeper produced a double save in the 67th minute, first denying a close-range effort and then reacting quickly to smother the rebound.

The closing stages saw both teams push for a winner. Vítkovice sent extra bodies forward, but Lisen B's centre-backs dealt with every cross. A late free kick from 22 yards was curled just wide, and the final whistle confirmed a scoreless draw.

Tactical story

Vítkovice lined up in a 4-2-3-1, using their full-backs high to stretch Lisen B's 4-4-2. The approach created width but left space behind, which Lisen B tried to exploit with direct passes into the channels. The away side's defensive discipline was the standout feature: their two banks of four stayed compact, forcing Vítkovice into low-percentage crosses.

Lisen B's game plan was patient. They conceded possession for long spells but remained dangerous on the break, and their midfielders tracked runners diligently. Vítkovice's inability to convert territorial advantage into clear chances ultimately cost them two points.

Standout players

• Vítkovice goalkeeper: Made two crucial saves, including a second-half double stop, to preserve the clean sheet.
• Vítkovice central midfielder: Dictated play in the first half and kept the tempo high with intelligent passing.
• Lisen B centre-back: Commanding in the air and composed on the ball, he cleared several dangerous deliveries.
• Lisen B striker: A constant threat on the counter, his movement created the visitors' best chance.

Table impact and what's next

The draw adds one point to both clubs' tally in the Czech Third League standings. For Vítkovice, the clean sheet is a positive foundation, but the lack of a cutting edge remains a concern. Lisen B will take confidence from a disciplined away performance against senior opposition.

Both sides return to league action next weekend, hoping to turn draws into wins as the promotion and relegation picture begins to take shape.
