Venezuela Women U17 competed bravely and tried to frustrate their older opponents with a deep defensive block, but Chile's quality in the final third proved decisive. Three well-taken goals sealed a comprehensive victory.

The match was a clear example of how age-group differences can shape a contest. Chile's U20 players were stronger in duels and more clinical in front of goal, while Venezuela's U17 side showed flashes of promise on the counter-attack.

Tactical Story

Chile lined up in a 4-3-3 formation, using wide forwards to stretch Venezuela's defence and overloading the midfield. Venezuela Women U17 set up in a 5-4-1, aiming to keep the game compact and hit on the break. Chile's high press forced turnovers in dangerous areas, and their quick passing created repeated openings.

Venezuela's defensive organisation improved as the match went on, but they struggled to maintain possession for long periods. Chile's midfield controlled the tempo, and their back line stepped up aggressively to squeeze the space available to Venezuela's forwards.

Standout Players

Chile's centre-forward led the line impressively, scoring one and linking play throughout. Their attacking midfielder was the creative engine, while the centre-back who scored from the corner was dominant in both boxes. For Venezuela Women U17, the goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score from being greater, and their captain showed leadership in midfield despite the difficult matchup.
