SK Kladno 2-3 FK Arsenal Česká Lípa: Late Goal Decides Five-Goal Thriller

SK Kladno and FK Arsenal Česká Lípa served up a five-goal thriller in the Chance Národní Liga on Sunday night, with the visitors claiming a 3-2 win after a dramatic late goal at the Stadion Františka Kloze.

Arsenal Česká Lípa built a two-goal lead, only for Kladno to fight back and level the match. Just as the home side looked capable of completing the comeback, the visitors found one final attacking moment and took all three points.

Match overview

The away side started brightly and looked dangerous whenever they attacked with pace. Kladno took time to settle, and their defensive mistakes were punished during the first half. By the interval, Arsenal Česká Lípa had a deserved cushion.

The second half was a different story. Kladno raised their intensity, pushed more bodies forward and scored twice to restore parity. The game appeared to be heading for a draw, but a late breakaway and a composed finish gave Arsenal Česká Lípa the victory.

Key moments

• 12th minute: Arsenal Česká Lípa took the lead after a quick counter-attack ended with a low shot across the goalkeeper.
• 39th minute: The visitors doubled their advantage from a corner, with a powerful header finding the net.
• 54th minute: Kladno pulled one back through a close-range finish after a period of sustained pressure.
• 71st minute: The equaliser arrived when a cross from the right was turned in at the back post.
• 87th minute: Arsenal Česká Lípa won the match with a late goal, finishing calmly after breaking through the middle.

Tactical story

Arsenal Česká Lípa’s counter-attacking approach worked perfectly in the first half. They defended in a compact block, invited Kladno forward and then used the space behind the home defence to create chances. Their two-goal lead was built on efficiency rather than long spells of possession.

Kladno’s response after the break was impressive. They increased the tempo, won more second balls and began to deliver better quality into the box. The equaliser felt deserved, but their push for a winner left them exposed at the back, and Arsenal Česká Lípa punished them with a clinical late finish.

Standout performers

The Arsenal Česká Lípa striker was the difference-maker, leading the line with intelligence and taking his late chance with real composure. The visiting goalkeeper also made two key saves in the second half to keep his team ahead before the late winner.

For Kladno, the midfielder who drove the second-half comeback deserved credit for his energy and passing. The home captain also grew into the game, but the team will be frustrated by the defensive lapses that allowed Arsenal Česká Lípa to score three times.

What the result means

The win gives Arsenal Česká Lípa an important boost in the Chance Národní Liga standings and shows they can handle a tense away match. Kladno are left to reflect on a brave fightback that ultimately brought no reward. In a division where consistency is often the difference between promotion contention and mid-table safety, this was a painful lesson.
