Team Info

tigerscores365 Sangmu 2 is the reserve team for Sangmu, the famous South Korean military sports unit. This second team allows conscripted athletes to maintain competitive sharpness and provides depth for the main Sangmu roster that competes in the Korean Basketball League (KBL). The team is based at the Sangmu's training facilities and plays in lower-tier or reserve competitions. Founded as an integral part of the unique military sports system, the team's purpose is to develop players during their mandatory service period. Its history is one of continuous player turnover, as rosters change with enlistment cycles, but the system has produced many KBL stars who return to civilian clubs after their service. The modern Sangmu 2 team continues this mission, featuring a mix of established professionals fulfilling duty and raw talents discovered during service. The culture is defined by military discipline applied to basketball, emphasizing fundamentals and physical conditioning. Sangmu 2 is a unique and vital component of Korean basketball's ecosystem.
